NEW LIFE IN YOU
New life emerges when your assumptions, assurances and complacency are challenged and engaged.
In a week marked by the arrival of spring and the celebration of Easter I’ve been very aware of the people who help to birth new life in me. It’s all too easy to take them for granted!
Instead I’ve chosen this week to practice a mindfulness meditation about new life.
I’ve been struck by the images of their faces and hands as if smiling on me and offering a hand. They’ve each either challenged my assumptions, caused me to examine my un-examined assurances and upended my complacency. Their often uncomfortable but loving gift is a treasure.
The result has been renewed awareness that new life grows through a circle of unexpected people. Their gift and the image of their faces and hands fill me with gratitude and appreciation. How will I be aware of this changing cast of companions each week?
Call-to-Action:
- Be mindful of those in your circle who invite new life to grow in you
- Express gratitude for their gift of immeasurable worth
Notice how new life grows in your willingness to engage what you are challenged by.
