Robert V. Taylor News – Compassion & Freedom
We are hard-wired for compassion as much as we are created for freedom. In our daily lives, where do choices we make about compassion and freedom intersect?
These two blogs of mine on Huffington Post this week invite conversation and your comments about freedom and compassion in a changing and uncertain time:

The Romney piece in Huffington Post is incisive and compassionate! The candidate’s remarks at the $50K/plate luncheon illustrate how comfortable he seems (when he thinks he’s not on camera) in disparaging groups which likely include the people serving the meal being consumed. I suspect that many people in Mitt Romney’s income bracket are perplexed by the ease with which he considers millions of fellow human beings to be not worthy of being in even a political relationship with his effort to become president. I am certain that many of those same persons of substantial wealth are appalled by the candidate’s further suggestion that the 47% are somehow qualitatively different from those whose fate has never required asking for or accepting help when circumstances left no alternative.
